Directorate Children and Young People (DCYP) pages on GOV.UK

The Directorate Children and Young People (DCYP) pages on GOV.UK are now live and can be accessed at the following link DCYP GOV.UK
DCYP was established in 2010 to provide a single Ministry of Defence (MOD) focus for all issues related to service children and young people. Service children are the children of serving service personnel but DCYP also has a responsibility for the children of MOD UK based civilians and sponsored organisations serving outside of the UK.
The work of DCYP falls in to the 6 broad areas of responsibility listed below:
  1. strategic direction and policy
  2. provision of high quality education in MOD schools and settings
  3. safeguarding children and young people
  4. supporting the Armed Forces Covenant
  5. direct support and advice to service families with advice on a wide range of education matters
  6. educational psychology and social work services

A full explanation of these and any other aspect of education that falls under the DCYP remit can be accessed from the GOV.UK website.
