Real Mums Are Role Models

Calling all Regular and Reserve Army mums, mums to be and mums whose babies were taken too soon. You are all incredible, active women and we want to celebrate that!

The British Army have teamed up with the Active Pregnancy Foundation to join their Real Mums Are Role Models competition. We want to fill the media with inspirational images of women being active during pregnancy or as a mother because there is so little out there at the moment, and even less of women in uniform. Every woman’s journey through motherhood is different, and every woman’s ‘active’ is different but you are all doing it; going for a walk with your babies and children, lifting and carrying them all the time, exercising during your pregnancies or continuing sports and training with your babies in tow.

This competition is about visibility, representation and community. Each and every one of you is a role model. Share your stories. Be proud of them. Be heard. Be visible.

Pictures do not have to be recent, but must relate to you being pregnant, with your children or conducting physical activity as part of your inspirational motherhood story. There is no obligation for you to submit an entry in uniform, but we would love it if you do! Feel free to share this in any sub-networks, in your Units and with your friends.
